AGACNP preceptor matching service

Matching is not handing you a name and wishing you luck. For an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner student it means locating a preceptor whose live practice sits in the exact setting your course is graded on, an ICU, a step-down or progressive care unit, an emergency department, or a hospitalist service, and who has the bandwidth and the site permission to take a student.

The reason a service exists is that acute-care capacity is scarce and gatekept. Inpatient units credential students rather than simply accepting them, slots fill long before a term starts, and students from many programs compete for the same few high-acuity sites. A good match threads all of that on your behalf.

• We read your requirement first. Your program, your state, your city, the specific rotations you still need, and your remaining hours, before we look for anyone.
• We source to the setting. An ICU need gets an intensivist or an acute-care NP who works the unit; an emergency rotation gets emergency-side coverage. We do not force a primary-care preceptor into an acute slot.
• We verify eligibility. Active, unencumbered state license and a certification or physician scope that matches the setting, checked against what your program will accept.
• We prepare the paperwork. The affiliation agreement, your site-approval application, and the credentialing package, assembled so the site can approve on the first submission.

A confirmed match is a scope-matched, licensed acute-care preceptor; an approvable inpatient site; the signed affiliation agreement between that site and your school; and your credentialing and hours tracked to the full requirement. It is a placement package, not an introduction.

Credentials we look for on the NP side are AGACNP-BC from ANCC or ACNPC-AG from the AACN Certification Corporation; on the physician side, a role that matches the unit, such as intensivist, hospitalist, or emergency medicine. Your program has the final say on who it will accept.

You do not pay to start a search and you do not pay a deposit. There is no fee until a match is confirmed. That structure exists so the risk of the search sits with us, not with you, and so the fee is clearly for the service we perform, which is sourcing, placement, and paperwork.

You are never paying for hours, and no reputable service would frame it that way. Clinical hours are earned by you, at the bedside, under a real preceptor, and approved by your program. We do not sell or rent preceptors, we do not pay clinicians to sign for hours, and we do not fabricate reviews or outcomes. Any service that offers a guaranteed acute placement or a preceptor you can simply buy is a service to walk away from.
